Borghi in Festa – Barbarano del Capo
Dal 25 al 27 luglio 2024, Barbarano del Capo ospiterà “Borghi in Festa”, un evento che trasformerà il paese in un angolo degli anni ’50. Organizzato dalla parrocchia di San Lorenzo Martire, questa celebrazione offre un’immersione totale nel passato. In questi tre giorni, le strade del borgo prenderanno vita con scene di vita quotidiana d’altri tempi. Le massaie prepareranno pasta fatta a mano, fave e cicorie, friggendo “pittule” e chiacchierando come una volta. La gastronomia sarà autentica, con piatti tipici, carne arrostita e la tradizionale pulizia dei ceci. Potrete ammirare vecchi mestieri come la creazione di salsa, l’infilatura del tabacco, il lavaggio dei panni, il ricamo e la preparazione dei materassi. I bambini potranno divertirsi con giochi tradizionali, come far rotolare cerchioni di bici e interagire con un venditore ambulante.
Alle 20.30, il borgo bandirà le automobili, permettendo a tutti di rivivere un’epoca passata e celebrare le nostre radici. Per maggiori informazioni: Borghi in Festa

Borghi in Festa – Barbarano del Capo
From July 25 to 27, 2024, Barbarano del Capo will host “Borghi in Festa,” an event that will transform the village into a corner of the 1950s. Organized by the parish of San Lorenzo Martire, this celebration offers a total immersion in the past. For three days, the streets of the village will come to life with scenes of daily life from bygone times. Housewives will prepare handmade pasta, fava beans with chicory, and fry “pittule” while chatting as they used to. The gastronomy will be authentic, featuring traditional dishes, roasted meat, and the traditional chickpea cleaning. You can admire old crafts such as sauce making, tobacco threading, laundry washing, embroidery, and mattress preparation. Children can enjoy traditional games like rolling bicycle rims and interacting with a street vendor.

Cavalcata Storica – Nardò
La città di Nardò vi invita ad immergervi nell’atmosfera del 1600 con la 15esima edizione della Cavalcata Storica. Questo evento celebra la storia della famiglia Acquaviva, attraverso una serie di eventi coinvolgenti nel centro storico.
Il 26 Luglio 2024 alle ore 21:00 avrà inizio la “cena con il Guercio”, una cena barocca nel cortile del castello con Giangirolamo II Acquaviva d’Aragona.
Il 27 Luglio, invece, alle 19:00, ci sarà la mostra “Il tormento dell’anima” in Piazza San Domenico, con macchine d’assedio e metodi di tortura.
Alle 19:30 inizierà lo spettacolo teatrale “Caravaggio” nel chiostro di San Domenico.
Mentre alle ore 21:30 ci sarà il Palio dei Pittagi in Piazza Cesare Battisti: Sfide tra quartieri con tamburi e sbandieratori.

Cavalcata Storica – Nardò
The city of Nardò invites you to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the 1600s with the 15th edition of the Cavalcata Storica. This event celebrates the history of the Acquaviva family through a series of engaging events in the historic center.
On July 26, 2024, at 9:00 PM, the “dinner with the Guercio” will take place, a baroque dinner in the castle courtyard with Giangirolamo II Acquaviva d’Aragona.
On July 27, at 7:00 PM, there will be the exhibition “The Torment of the Soul” in Piazza San Domenico, featuring siege machines and torture methods.
At 7:30 PM, the theatrical performance “Caravaggio” will begin in the cloister of San Domenico.
At 9:30 PM, the Palio dei Pittagi will take place in Piazza Cesare Battisti: challenges between neighborhoods with drums and flag throwers.
On July 28 at 7:00 PM, markets, exhibitions, and the 17th-century camp will open in Piazza Salandra. At 9:00 PM, the historical parade will start in Piazza Salandra, followed by the theatrical performance “The Visions of Joan of Arc” in the cloister of San Domenico.

Quattro giorni dedicati alla musica, alla gastronomia e alla tradizione, per celebrare la famosa “uliata”. La “uliata” è una puccia tipica fatta con olive nere e farina del Salento. La Festa te la Uliata è organizzata da ActionAid per raccogliere fondi destinati all’adozione a distanza di bambini in Africa e Asia.

From July 26 to 28, 2023, Presicce-Acquarica will host the Festa del Grano, an unmissable event filled with music, food, and tradition. Marangiane in Festa – Castrì di Lecce
Dal 26 al 30 luglio, anche quest’anno, torna l’attesissima sagra “Marangiane in Festa” a Castrì di Lecce, giunta alla sua 22ª edizione con un giorno in più di celebrazioni. L’evento nasce dal desiderio di offrire momenti di gioia al paese, allietando il palato con piatti deliziosi a base di melanzane, accompagnati da musica e canti tradizionali.
La melanzana, versatile ortaggio di stagione, sarà la protagonista indiscussa, proposta in varie ricette irresistibili: dalla classica parmigiana (rossa, bianca e vegetariana) alle polpette fumanti, dalle sagne ‘ncannulate alle bruschette assortite, fino alla sorprendente parmigiana di cioccolata.

From July 26 to 30, the eagerly awaited “Marangiane in Festa” returns to Castrì di Lecce, now in its 22nd edition with an extra day of celebrations. The event was born out of the desire to offer moments of joy to the town, delighting the palate with delicious eggplant-based dishes, accompanied by traditional music and songs. The eggplant, a versatile seasonal vegetable, will be the undisputed star, presented in various irresistible recipes: from the classic parmigiana (red, white, and vegetarian) to steaming meatballs, from ‘sagne.

Highlights:
July 25: Procession of the statue of Sant’Anna immediately after the 7:30 PM mass, followed by a light music show in the square, for an evening of celebration and sharing.
July 26: The festival concludes with a mass in the square at 7:30 PM, including the blessing ceremony for expectant mothers, ending the celebration with a moment of reflection and hope.

Festa di San Pantaleone – Martignano
Dal 19 al 27 luglio 2024, Martignano, in Puglia, festeggerà San Pantaleone, patrono e medico, con un evento ricco di tradizione e devozione. La comunità si riunisce per onorare il santo, accogliendo anche chi torna da lontano per rispettare questa antica celebrazione. Il 26 luglio alle 20 si terrà la processione serale con il santo portato per le vie addobbate dalla ditta Santoro di Alessano, seguita da una messa nella chiesa principale. La serata si concluderà con spettacolari fuochi d’artificio della Pirotecnica di Monteroni e L’artificiosa Di Candia di Salerno. Il 27 luglio vedrà le bande Città di Squinzano e Città di Lecce “Nino Farì” animare le strade con sinfonie tradizionali. Alle 10, una processione mattutina attraverserà il paese con i fuochi della ditta D’Oronzo di Guagnano. La giornata si chiuderà alle 20 con la messa finale. From July 19 to 27, 2024, Martignano in Puglia will celebrate San Pantaleone, patron saint and physician, with an event rich in tradition and devotion. The community gathers to honor the saint, welcoming those who return from afar to respect this ancient celebration. On July 26 at 8:00 PM, there will be an evening procession with the saint carried through the streets adorned by the Santoro company of Alessano, followed by a mass in the main church. The evening will end with spectacular fireworks by Pirotecnica di Monteroni and L’artificiosa Di Candia from Salerno. On July 27, the bands Città di Squinzano and Città di Lecce “Nino Farì” will animate the streets with traditional symphonies. At 10:00 AM, a morning procession will pass through the town with fireworks by the D’Oronzo company of Guagnano. The day will conclude at 8:00 PM with the final mass. La Festa Patronale di San Biagio a Corsano è pronta a stupire con tre giorni di celebrazioni ricche di tradizione e modernità. Il 26 luglio alle 19:00, la festa inizia con la messa e l’accensione delle luminarie della ditta De Cagna. Segue la processione della statua di San Biagio per le vie del paese, accompagnata dalla banda Grecìa Salentina. La serata si conclude alle 22:00 con uno spettacolo di cabaret dei MalfAttori in Piazza San Biagio. Il 27 luglio, la messa delle 19:00 sarà celebrata in Piazza San Biagio, mentre la banda Città di Noci suonerà per tutto il giorno. La serata prosegue con uno spettacolo sulla cassarmonica. Il 28 luglio, alle 22:00, i Dik Dik si esibiranno in Piazza San Biagio. La festa si concluderà con uno spettacolo pirotecnico alle 23:00, a cura della ditta Fireworks.
